My professional design career started in Orlando at a small software company. I designed client websites, DVD interfaces and product packaging. It was a very creative environment where I was able to experiment with usability, user interface design and coding.
I returned to Atlanta to join the design team at Ezgov. There, I designed a communications portal and multiple online applications. With these tools users can pay traffic tickets, property taxes and more. I wrote the html, JavaScript and created the file naming structure for all the application templates.
I was then hired by The Weather Channel to design all their international websites. With the domestic creative team, I designed weather tools geared toward the lifestyles of the users (health, travel, sports, etc.). I created the wireframes and designs for the TWC mobile product and created hundreds of online advertisements. I taught teammates techniques in designing for Flash and html.
Now I'm freelance and very interested in the conceptual and functional design of interactive websites and applications.
Depending on the project, I gather requirements and then develop wireframes, create interfaces, design content and advertising. Sometimes I get the opportunity to create a logo, illustration or animation. In moving these elements to the web, I provide server administration and development using actionscript, JavaScript, CSS and html. For complex projects, I may hire and direct developers and security experts.
